We’re actively looking for freelance Public Relations help. We’ve done a decent job promoting 37signals (and the 37Better Project and our first E-Commerce Search Report and Design Not Found) on our own, but we want to take it to the next level. If you think you can help, please email [email protected] and let us know. Thanks.
Quick advice, as a PR guy, you might not be as interesting as your PR consultant leads you to believe. Not intended as a dis, just a warning for you to enter into these sorts of projects with realistic expectations. The next level might not be a step up.
Think in terms of goals and placements.
Agree. You have to work from a different concept of what makes for a news event. As stated, these projects are less than spectacular for PR.
I see potential unrealized within these projects, but that would involve redesigning the projects and the focus.

If an application is designed well, the reward for users is that they will learn it faster, accomplish their daily tasks more easily, and have fewer questions for the help desk. As a developer of a well-designed application, your returns on that investment are more upgrade revenue, reduced tech support, better reviews, less documentation, and higher customer satisfaction. The rewards of building a good-looking Aqua application are worth taking the extra time.
