A Few Unrelated Thoughts

11 Aug 2003 by

This can’t be good for property value in and around Seattle (especially Orting).

And, completely unrelated, if you haven’t seen the photos over at Quarlo yet, you really should.

Senator Bob Graham calls himself the “original blogger” on his official weblog.

Senator Bob Graham calls himself the original blogger on his official weblog.

You should've seen what blogging was 30 years ago. Lots of wires.

This is the weblog of the original blogger, Senator Bob Graham. For over 30 years, Senator Graham has kept a log of all his daily activities.

Taking meticulous notes of what color socks you wear and what you had for every meal, every day for the last 30 years, is not blogging. It is a obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Having lived in Seattle my entire life I have read so many of these articles that they fail to evoke even the slightest concern. A quick look at a map of Rainier's mudflows would reveal that Seattle is in no danger in the event of even a severe eruption.

Unfortunately towns like Orting will be f'd.

I think Senator Bob Graham helped Al Gore invent the internet as well, although I am unable to find that on his site.

Bob Graham did not call himself the original blogger. I called him the original blogger when I wrote the template for the blog. He loves to write entries, but I wouldn't trust him with HTML.

If you don't trust him with HTML, why should we trust him with the country?

Hey Joe... On this post on Senator Graham's blog, you say: "Why do I call Bob the original blogger? Simple: this guy has been logging his days since Watergate was news. Sure, they didn't have hypertext in those days, but the concept was still the same. Why complain about this when there are more important issues to complain about?"

Hey, Joe, I'm not complaining. All I said was: "Senator Bob Graham calls himself the 'original blogger' on his official weblog."
