Two things the web is great for: movie trailers and music videos. Did anyone see “Lost In Translation” yet? Oscar season will be a whole lot more palatable if Bill Murray is involved.
Jack White is (intentionally?) looking more and more like Johnny Depp’s character in “Dead Man” (see “The Hardest Button to Button” video). The visual style reminds me a lot of the scrolling interface that is used during digital recording.
Meanwhile, if the hair of new It band Kings of Leon (check out the “Molly’s Chambers” video) is any indication, 70’s feather will be the new hipster rage. Also, first time I’ve seen a band offering its own buddy icons (too bad the site’s such a muck to navigate).

Lost in Translation was fantastic...best movie I've seen in the theatre in a long time.

jack white is great, though. saw the white stripes last week, and they rocked. i almost regret their popularity, as that will mean bigger venues...
he lost the funny moustache he had in the music vid, thankfully.

The White Stripes rock! Jack is so hot and Meg is a cutie. I do wish they weren't so popular though.

wow...Johnny and Jack are my two great passions. Thats really weird. Now that you mention it, Jack does bear a striking resemblance to Johnny's character. I love the White Stripes and even though it sounds extremely selfish, I am mad at their new found popularity. One hit song, and suddenly everyone likes them...geez. Whats the world coming to...

Yeah. I agree. Before it felt nice, like The White Stripes could fit in your pocket. Now theyre new popularity kind of gives me a sad feeling... like theyre not just MY fav band :(
