20 Nov 2003 by Jason Fried

Got some extra frequent flyer miles hanging around? Why not donate some to the troops so they can get home while on R & R or emergency leave.

That's sad that we can fly our own troops home with the budget our military has.

A good idea, but it would also be nice if all the airlines treated deployed military like airline employees. I don't know if this has changed, but an emplyee used to be able to fly for 25$ one way, no matter where they were going.

Granted, I could be infusing what I would like to happen with what does happen...

uh, why don't they just put soldiers on unfilled seats on flights that are going anyway?

How about we give them free college education and a nice retirement pacakge when they retire?

Uh, yea. It'd be nice if my job was one that everyone sobbed over and gave me free shit. It's not like they were drafted.

This topic is one we will tackle later in this article, but it refers to making sure that your application and the dock aren't fighting it out for supremacy of the screen.
