American Express Pyrite Card

I don’t mean to pick on American Express, but while I was reading the fine print for a card I was applying for, I bumped into this:
Gold Card Events are not available for American Express Business Gold Card, Business Management AccountSM, Optima Platinum Card, Gold Optima Card, or Gold Delta SkyMiles Business Credit Card.
Gold isn’t Gold. Confusing, isn’t it?

My biggest problem with credit card companies is when they sit in front of cafeterias on campus like vultures, trying to entice unsuspecting underclassman into signing up for a credit card because it comes with some random schwag. They realize that college students don't have much money, and they still market to us because they realize that our parents would rather bail us out of our debts than have bad credit when we graduate.
Whenever I see them on campus, I always make it a point to give them a piece of my mind.

My roommate used to always sign up... he'd fill out false info and take his free gift and be on his way.
On a sidenote: Amex is all about charge cards, not credit cards, right?

AmEx does have credit cards, such as Blue. Hm. Blue... Gold... there must be something there....
