Family Guy

11 Mar 2004 by Matthew Linderman

Ryan has successfully converted 37signals into a Family Guy watching office. Good news too: the series is coming back for more. It’s the first time a canceled series has been revived on the strength of its DVD sales and syndication ratings. The story also mentions that Seth MacFarlane, the guy behind FG, will make his big-screen directorial debut with the upcoming “Family Union.”

Kudos to Ryan for spreading the FG love.

It is the duty of every American age 16-36 to watch Adult Swim every night. :)

That's Adult Swim on Cartoon Network for the uninitiated. ;)

That's awesome. I wonder how long until it becomes the most cancelled show in history.

I actually grew up in the same town as Seth MacFarlane. He was always the kid a few years older than me that could draw reeealy well. I've still got a book of his comic stips that he sold in the local bookstore in high school or junior high.

Yes!! That makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

As a college student, watching the Family Guy on Cartoon Network 4 nights a week is absolutely essential to a well-rounded education. The great thing is, if I miss an episode at 11pm (eastern), it's back on at 2am! Score!

I absolutely hated Family Guy. I'll admit that every episode had one entirely random hilarious moment (Kool-Aid Man breaking into the courtroom, for instance), but at its core, the show's humor was just plain cruel and mean-spirited. I don't need that kind of crap in my life.

The Family Guy did what the Simpsons were afraid to do and did what South Park was doing - but on broadcast TV. It's entertaining, real, and absolutely hilarious. It's no Home Movies or Mission Hill but FG is a great adult program. Anyone that calls it a cartoon is missing the boat. If you don't already own seasons 1-3 on DVD then you're probably an unhappy person.

Support happiness - watch Family Guy.
