Ruby developers in Chicago?

30 Sep 2004 by Jason Fried

Any Ruby developers in Chicago out there? Anyone? We’re looking for someone to help with Basecamp and our other Ruby-based apps in development. If so, drop me a line. Thanks.

Wow! I'd be interested. I might even move!

But then I wonder,.. is this a job or a volunteer position?

Hi Jason,

I'm definitely interested, although I don't live in Chicago. I'm not too far away, though---Cincinnati, OH. Depending on what the job paid, I might be willing to relocate to Chicago. Otherwise, what about the possibility of working remotely and commuting to Chicago every once in a while for meetings, etc? Might be open to that as well.

Might as well post here for good measure: I'm a Ruby developer moving to Chicago in a week and a half, and I'm very interested.

I neither live in Chicago nor am I a Ruby developer. But I'm very good looking and would look good in your ads.

I am a ruby developer and live in Argentina. Too far away from Chicago, but as life here is chip it might be interesting for offshore projects. Among my clients are Cisco Systems (for Cisco Networkers Argentina), EJK & Reed Exhibitions (the world biggest exhibition organizer, and Socit Gnrale (french bank, the fifth biggest of Europe).

Jack Ruby used to buy sandwiches at my grandfather's deli back in Dallas. I hack PHP. I would totally work for you.
