The Best Web 2.0 Software of 2005 12 Dec 2005

Dion Hinchcliffe just posted his take on the The Best Web 2.0 Software of 2005. I wish he’d just call it the best web software and leave the 2.0 out, but hey, we’re thankful anyway!
Basecamp takes the top slot in the Project Management & Team Collaboration category.
Ta-da list takes runner up in the Online To Do Lists category and Writeboard takes runner up in the Web-Based Word Processing category.
Basecamp and Backpack were also awarded Business Week Best of the New Web Editor’s Choice awards.
We couldn’t be happier with 2005. Thanks to everyone who made this happen (especially our passionate customers who help us spread the word every day). We have a lot in store for 2006. We’re working on finishing up two new applications right now which we hope to have out by late January or early Feb, and then we have two more on the drawing board as well. And of course we’ll continue to improve Basecamp, Backpack, Tada, and Writeboard. We have some good things in store so stay tuned.

The 2nd place to this voo2do in the ToDo list category is bogus…if I wanted my todolist to do everything it does, I’d just get Basecamp.
GetReal flavored KoolAid is yummy.

Backpack is fabulous. Congrats on the other awards too. You folks deserve it.

I suppose that list overlooks hideous design and focuses on Web 2.0 usage only? Otherwise, you guys should’ve racked up more #1’s.
I guess IT guys can’t bother with the “creative.”
