When Jason put out a call on Twitter for SEO consultants, he received dozens of responses. In order to choose someone to work with, Jason and Basecamp designer Adam Stoddard interviewed all of the candidates in one six-hour block of back-to-back phone calls. They sit down with Shaun in the latest episode of the Rework podcast to discuss why they’re looking for SEO expertise, how they conducted the interviews, and what it’s like to shop for something you know nothing about.

Email’s new heyday
Email sucked for years. Not anymore — we fixed it. HEY’s fresh approach transforms email into something you want to use, not something you’re forced to deal with.
Tried Basecamp lately?
Used an earlier version, but moved on? Heard of it, but never signed up? Today’s Basecamp will surprise you! It’s all-new, entirely modern, and unlike anything else.
Sounds like video chat is in the basecamp product feature pipeline 😉
It would have been interesting if you discussed in more detail why you thought SEO wasn’t important until now – customer churn, low growth, you want more growth, etc, etc
