We’re looking to hire a support programmer who can work with Sarah and Michael on customer issues. This includes investigating reports of abnormal behavior and fixing bugs, but it also means building tools to automate the work.
See the full job posting on the 37signals Job Board for more details.

on 27 May 09I’d love to do this just for the experience and working with the team.

on 28 May 09Ooh, ooh, pick me… Wait, you guys program in Ruby huh. Nvmnd, I don’t speak Martian. I love how RoR commercials finally gave up when they crossed Django, and gave Django props. RoR got served last year in that big shootout seminar.

on 28 May 09What does a junior support programmer do at 37S. Is that more for the server-admin side of programming, such as Capistrano stuff, or would you be working under the wings of a senior on the same level of projects?
MIchael Troy
on 28 May 09Sounds like an awesome opportunity.
@chris a – I would think a little of everything you mention. Sounds like 37signals are after someone that would want to get their toes wet in every aspect. But Primarily to listen to support inquiries and take appropriate action.
Great opportunity!

on 28 May 09If a “junior” programmer gets $60k, I wonder how much a senior gets
Michael
on 29 May 09@Tim it says the cap is at 60, meaning they aren’t willing to pay more than that for the position, and I imagine that a $60k salary would only go to someone who was pretty damn skilled at debugging / providing support.
