Signal v. Noise, a publication about the web
Beautiful shot of Frank Lloyd Wright with his apprentices at Taliesen. Photo by Ken Hedrich, 1933.
Technically beautiful photo. Something a lot of folks with the latest and greatest from Canon or Nikon would still have to pop into a post production software to achieve similar. Further proof it’s not the technology, but the artist.
In other news, the blonde kid in the background kinda looks like Mickey Rooney.
Beyond their architectural accomplishments, Bob Mosher, Edgar Tafel, and Wesley Peters (l-r) had (“have” in the case of Tafel who is still living) interesting lives. Peters was for a time Wright’s son-in-law. He was married to Wright’s adopted daughter who died in an auto accident. Later, Peters was married to “Svetlana Alliluyeva, the youngest child and only daughter of Joseph Stalin”.
