The title originated in comments of my last drawing. I liked the suggestion of “An illustration of why details matter” but could not stop thinking about the details, so I gave up on that drawing.
“Draw us a picture of truth. Not in the abstract.” seemed like even more of challenge. If I could successfully draw “truth” in a single drawing with robots and overemotional stick figures I would need to start reevaluating my life.
I liked the other suggestions as well, but this seemed like a good place to start.
Feel free to suggest titles or ideas for the next drawing. I think I would like to use these drawings to construct a simple story. About a year ago at The Morning News I did the story Have Faith in Duck. It was constructed over two months, with the drawings and story based on suggestions by the readers.
Let’s try to improve on that idea.
