Signal v. Noise, a publication about the web
Kathy Sierra’s Featuritis Curve helps focus the mind during feature discussions.
David, Malcolm Gladwell talks about Inverted-U curves in his last book. did you read?
I miss Kathy’s blog… was a ‘must visit’ site for me on a regular basis. Nice to see she is still active in the dev community to a certain extent, but I wish she would write again…
thanks david. should be glue to the monitor. dieter rams said good design is less design. i would add “less features”. everybody claims to be minimalist. nobody is really. pretty impressive basecamp did not grow much in features in all these years. very solid minds behind the product.
X-axis could also be “Number of Features I know how to use”
Without wanting to come of as “too hippie”, I really think there’s an analogy between Featuritis and life (being life the product and material goods the features). I’m alone in this?
