New from Coudal: The Sixteen Straight Tee. It’s a shirt (+ marker/pin) that lets you check off Bears’ victories: “Show your faith while we run the table. The Sixteen Straight Tee is created and printed in Chicago for Chicago.”
Clever. See, Chicago is a football crazy city. And the Bears have a really good team this year. And the team’s schedule over the next few weeks is stocked with patsies plus a bye week (the next time they play a team with a winning record is November 26). Mad local PR seems like a good bet.

on 12 Oct 06i smell a fantastic franchise opportunity… i wonder how well they wash?

on 12 Oct 06Daaaa Bears! 16 straight, going all the way this year. It’s just too bad we won’t see any worthy opponents until the Super Bowl…
Josh
on 12 Oct 06Now someone in Oakland needs to make one for the Raiders and their quest for that magical 0-16 season.

on 13 Oct 06Now that you’ve moved over to Blog Cabin, and all previous comments are missing, let me just state for the record that the consensus on this t-shirt was there’s no way the Bears will get their checkmark against New England. Go Pats!
Eamon
on 13 Oct 06Huh. I’m pretty sure we established that Pats fans are out of their freaking minds. And shirtless, to boot.

on 13 Oct 06Talk about a weak schedule. I agree with Jeff, no check next to New England this year.
kendrick
on 17 Oct 06No check next to the buzzsaw that is the Arizona Cardinals, either…
mike
on 17 Oct 06sorry to disappoint you arizona fans.. when the qb can’t deliver, leave it to the defense and special teams.
kendrick
on 17 Oct 06I’m not an AZ fan, but that’s what I get for turning the game off early. :) What a meltdown by the Cards…
coudal
on 17 Oct 06Phew.
Eamon
on 17 Oct 06Amen.

on 17 Oct 06I hate to spoil a good t-shirt, and I know my team sucks, but Go Niners!
(Is that blatantly inflammatory or just vapid?)
BrettO
on 29 Oct 06Thanks. I am orginally a south-sider, but now I am way south (FL). Mostly I get the games via Sirius radio (too bad Da Bears don’t play on every Monday night). ;-( Smash the Cardinals, trash the 49ers.
Jeff L
on 05 Nov 06Well, the Bears didn’t want to wait for the Pats to beat them – they went ahead and let the Dolphins do it.
Ha!
Jeff L
on 27 Nov 06Well, the Bears went ahead and lost to the Pats anyway! Crazy game, though.
