on 06 Jan 10Hmmm. It seems there’s always an (unspoken) implication in the use of the phrase oversimplifying that what’s being done is ignoring something essential…they are being simplistic vs. simple (I think there’s a valid distinction here).

on 07 Jan 10I think in terms of a filter: remove all unnecessary information. Based on what’s left, it is easier to make a decision/take an action. And if you get it wrong, it is also much easier to see why and where you need to change.
