We’re all meeting in San Diego this week:
It’s kind of pretty here. Shot from Torrey Pines State Park.
A look at the conference table during company wide meeting. Yes, even we meet once in a while.
REWORK is in the house. Everyone got an advance copy. The book comes out “for real” in two weeks.
Jamis brought peanut butter flavored marshmallows that he made at home.
Sam’s got one of the cool “Just Below Zero” colors of Field Notes.
We’re recording it all for the one team member who couldn’t make it.
Lots of tea gets drunk.
Arrogant Bastard Ale! David said he’s considering becoming the spokesman.

on 24 Feb 10lmao @ David’s new position :)

on 24 Feb 10Stone beer… So good!!!! Have fun and take care. Ruination is the best, IMHO.
Edward O'Connor
on 24 Feb 10While you’re here, you should really hit up one of San Diego’s many quality craft beer establishments, such as Blind Lady, Hamilton’s, or Ritual.
Michael
on 24 Feb 10Jamis, care to post the recipe?
Chris
on 24 Feb 10@Adam I LOVE the Oaked Bastard. Ruination is damn good also. I am a huge IPA fan.
(meaning that I like to drink big beers. Not that I am 10 feet tall or anything)
Meanwhile, I am waiting impatiently on my copy of Rework…

on 24 Feb 10We don’t have Intelligentsia, but we do have Bread & Cie and Caffe Calabria. Despite it’s name, Extraordinary Desserts is terrible. Heaven Sent Desserts, however, is quite nice. Edward’s beer recommendations are spot on. The best place to eat is George’s at the Cove. The food actually eclipses the view. How do I know all this? I’m a lifet time Chicagoan trying to find his epicurian way as a new San Diegan. Great weather, great outdoor activities, but food in general? Meh, not so much.
Rudiger
on 24 Feb 10I’m flipping through these pics and I see the last one: Haiti Earthquake Aftermath Montage.
What does that have to do with fancy notebooks and artisan beers?
Justin
on 24 Feb 10Glad to see that you are in my hometown! I love the 37signals gang and everything you guys produce, you are a spotlight for us and how we think internally.
Hope you guys have a good trip/had a good trip. I can’t wait to get my hands on Rework. Keep up the great work guys.

on 24 Feb 10I suggest you guys get over to Stone Brewing Co. World bistro & Gardens while you are down that way. Get the Arrogant Bastard from the source and check out the digs. http://www.stoneworldbistro.com/

on 24 Feb 10@Rudiger That Haiti video was in a separate post.
San Diegan
on 24 Feb 10San Diego rocks! Are staying at The Lodge at Torrey Pines? Be sure to head down to Blacks Beach and the bottom of the trail. Best surfing in San Diego…
John Topley
on 25 Feb 10A conference table with beer on it is my kind of conference table!
Eric Stephens
on 25 Feb 10Ha, awesome to see you guys drinking Arrogant Bastard. Are you considering a switch from wine to beer after discovering the potential of beer?
Finding places serving arrogant bastard and getting real led me to create BeerMenus where you can now find arrogant bastard in NYC and Philly: http://www.beermenus.com/beers/stone-arrogant-bastard We cover Chicago as well but arrogant bastard hasn’t made it there just yet.
