What I cannot create, I do not understand.

Can you link to the whole article where this quote was made.
I’m curious to read more. Since “I do not ‘understand’” can be read do mean so many different thing – I’m curious to know the authors perspective.
For example, I can’t build (“create”) an automobile but I do “understand” how to use it.
Or does the author simple mean if you don’t understand how something works, you can’t create (build it). In which case is say ‘doh’.
