on 04 Dec 08Idea: Take text from a popular book (or, as in this case, “Getting Real”) and run it through Wordle.
Take the resulting page and use that as inspiration for a web product.
Using the above as an example: a web site that addresses the needs of People, Software, Time, Customers and Products.
Software that connects people to customers and products and save time??
Software that saves time for people when their product has an issue and they need Customer support??
Catching my drift? I might be on to something…

on 04 Dec 08A while ago I used Wordle to make a word cloud from the text of Paul Graham’s essays. Look for the words “make”, “something”, “people”, and “want”.

on 04 Dec 08I used Wordle just a couple of months ago to make a word cloud of all of the words from our ceremony and vows as a gift for my wife on our first (“paper”) anniversary. It printed beautifully (on some nice paper) and made quite an impact.
Wordle is cool.

on 04 Dec 08Wow. There are some really nice color combinations in there. I may have to use those for inspiration for my next website design.

on 04 Dec 08Try “typogenerator” (www.typogenerator.net).
From the FAQ:
Q: Who did it?
A: typogenerator was a student project by Katharina Nussbaumer in summer 2004 at FH Hagenberg/Austria.

on 05 Dec 08Will, I just did the same thing with the text of my Wife’s Business’ home page.
Just about every randomization was beautiful enough for her to frame and hang in her studio.
Well done Wordle!
