on 01 Feb 07Where do I sign-up to volunteer to translate?
I’m fluent in pig-latin.

on 01 Feb 07The portuguese translation deserves to be mention as Portuguese-BR, as it is clearly brazilian portuguese.
Portuguese is considered as Portuguese-PT which is relatively different from Portuguese-BR.
Great work from all volunteers there.

on 01 Feb 07Thanks for the remark, it is correct, this is a Brazilian Portuguese translation. I am the responsible for this group effort. Several collaborators from Brazil helped do this. We already translated all chapters and revised half of them. We are just about to finish it. You can consider it a “Release Candidate 2” :-)
I’d like to thank all the brazilian collaborators that helped making this possible and the 37signals guys that supported us. This is a great book and everybody through out the world deserves to have it available to them in their native language.

on 02 Feb 07Sugoi !!
Rene
on 02 Feb 07As a German I don’t like the german translation so far. It seems to me that the text has been translated word by word and so the translation lost the “soul” of the original text.
Mike
on 02 Feb 07Why are the translated versions on one page whereas the English version has an essay/page. Can the English version be combined for easier printing?
Andrey
on 02 Feb 07Sorry for saying this. As a Russian I also don’t like translation. The “soul” of the original in some places completely lost. The book is great anyway, thank you. Just my MHO.

on 02 Feb 07Rene, Andrey, if you’d like to help improve the translations, please get in touch at the email address in the post. Thanks.

on 03 Feb 07That Croatian version is really really lousy! :D
Marcin
on 03 Feb 07Ditto for Rene and Andrey’s points, but regarding Polish translation. (And no, sorry, don’t have time to help out.)
