You’re reading Signal v. Noise, a publication about the web by Basecamp since 1999. Happy !

on 05 Feb 11Awesome notes! On another note any other conference worth visiting this year for a developer / designer? Don’t want to waste my money.

on 05 Feb 11Thanks for blogging about my notes :) I really enjoyed Ryan’s talk at Webexpo. It was fun to sketch along him sketching out an interface.

on 07 Feb 11For a designer it is so wonderful to come across visual posts like this; it’s just that much easier and quicker to absorb information and ideas and concepts… when looking at sketches and lines and drawings and colors vs. reading text. Loved it. Loved Eva-Lotta’s drawings. Thank you for sharing.
@Tim—have you checked out the HOW conference? (howconference.com) And surely you must know about An Event Apart? (aneventapart.com)

on 07 Feb 11Nice! I think of the A3 concept: As an EE engineer I recently went to a seminar about lean product development, and they talked about “A3:s”, it is basically a report condensed into one single A3 sized paper, with text and images mixed. This seems to be an effective method to get an overview and lot of details at the same time, without having to go through 40 pages of text report. Great for communication.
