Google Reader Mobile is pretty awesome, by my reckoning, I use it daily to weed through my feeds while in between activities. Makes use of Wap or something to allow using “hotkeys”. 0- next story, * – star something, # – leave unread, etc.
Remember the Milk’s iPhone interface is very well done, although it’s unfortunately only available for subscribers to their (non-free) Pro account. You can see screenshots to get a feel for it here.
http://mobile.yahoo.com/iphone disappoints because they are apparently sniffing for only the iPhone user agent instead of the iPod or Mobile Safari strings for the user agent. Oh well.
I would have to say Rugby Mate is probably the best mobile app/site I have used. They designed it from the ground up to work on mobile devices and everything you wanted was within a couple of clicks. If anyone is designing a similar sports stats interface they would be advised to check out Rugby Mate.
Vitalist is almost a competitor to Ta-Da List, but follows the “Getting Things Done” ideals. It is already a simple app, and the mobile version just compresses it a little to fit the screen.
http://hahlo.com – more Twitter for your iPhone. Not a huge fan of Twitter, but really like this interface, especially how the menu loads at top (when clicking on “menu!”)

I have to gripe here—no fair on the iPhone interfaces. They look good partly because they’re wrapped in the iPhone :P. Show me a good Windows Mobile interface, and I’ll show you a real feat of ID.
http://m.facebook.com is pretty good by those standards.
I think this is certainly one of the best I’ve seen:
http://flickim.com (access via iPhone) Makes use of two-fingered scrolling, and the UI elements just seem to fit nicely.
Also, I’ll second the new Google iPhone UI. (http://google.com on iPhone) Very useful.
http://app.getleaflets.com is also nice.
(not a big fan of TaDa list on iPhone btw—feels clunky compared to some of these).
Lots of good sites listed here so far. I maintain a free list of about 250 mobile websites at Cantoni.mobi. I try to focus on sites that will work well for any mobile or smartphone (not just iPhone specific).

on 20 Dec 07I personally find that the most basic interfaces (using WML of course) are the best when it comes to browsing the web on my mobile.

on 20 Dec 07One of my favorites for my iPhone is the twitter interface by Thincloud.
twitter.thincloud.com
They give you a textarea to type your twitter in… unlike the textfield?! that they provide on m.twitter.com.
