A couple Fridays ago, Carlos Segura, Jason Fried, Jim Coudal, and Edward Lifson (from left to right below) put on the second SEED Conference in frigid Chicago.
Sandy Weisz took some great photos of the event.
A bunch of folks blogged reviews: What I Learned at the SEED Conference | DK Design Studio SEED review | Visual Rinse SEED review | Fishsuit review (with 7-page PDF) | Giant Robots SEED review.
We’re looking forward to SEED III. When we have a date we’ll let everyone know. Thanks again to everyone who attended. We hope you found the conference valuable.
P.S. Special thanks to Sarah for handing registration and administrative details. She made it look easy all while handling a full load of 37signals customer support on a particularly heavy day.

on 28 Jan 08I had a great time, met a bunch of people and learned alot. Next time can we get better weather? This Florida boy was freezing! Here’s my shameless plug.

on 28 Jan 08I was very much inspired by the conference. Didn’t learn much, but that’s okay … I went to be inspired and to meet Jason and Sarah.
I would recommend SEED to: Anyone thinking about striking out on their own; anyone frustrated in a corporate environment; anyone who is self-employed that needs a good, swift kick in the rear.
Thanks to Jason and crew. Club Lucky was great, too!

on 29 Jan 08Thansk for the link back. I found the conference reqarding, informative and much better than a day of meetings or red flagged words. ;-)

on 29 Jan 08Thanks for the link! I also enjoyed the conference a great deal. I found it inspiring and immensely useful. It took me a while to digest everything I heard and saw (including the architecture), but I’ve found little bits and pieces of it popping up in conversations and work situations ever since. It’s the kind of thing that stays with you, like a great novel, or possibly a really good Thanksgiving dinner. Let me get back to you on that metaphor.
Oh, and here’s my Flickr set for anyone who is interested.

on 03 Feb 08@ Derek, the room was very actively engaged, it was easily the best conference I have been too. The shear number of great practical ideas alone made this conference worth every penny.
as a side note: I am the blurry guy in the bottom left hand corner of the second photo :)

on 03 Feb 08I forgot to mention that I also made a review of the event with some (approximated) quotes from the event that I felt resonated with me the most.
