Kirigami: the art of folding and cutting paper
Virtual Gallery of Origamic Architecture features 3-D pop-ups and paper sculptures hand-cut using an X-acto knife and a ruler.
MOO.com takes a look at Kirigami, the art of folding and cutting paper.
And here’s a photoset on Flickr of snowflake-like Kirigami.

on 21 Feb 08This is fine for those who find origami too hard but I would encourage anybody to delve more into origami rather than kirigami – being a purist (starting from a square and using only folding to create pieces) is much more satisfying and is also much more amazing when you display it.
